Johnny Weir: A Tragic Ending In Almost Every Performance Because of A Certain "Clip" On His Shoulder

I'm all about saving life WHEREVER, WHENEVER AND WHOMEVER we can. Do not ever prioritize tragedies.....regarding the "just look at what's happened in Haiti" remark. A tragedy is just that, one does not open passage nor give one the right to create or promote another. I am not an animal activist, HOWEVER, I just couldn't wear the carcass or hair/fur of an innocent animal who had to survive in this world the best he or she could, was shot or torn apart by other animals, and left for dead. THAT POOR FOX IS NOT AN ANIMAL TO ME, JUST A DIFFERENT VERSION OF A LIVING CREATURE THAN I AM. HE OR SHE HAD A MOTHER AND FATHER JUST LIKE MR. WEIR. I could never "wear" a piece of it after it has been killed, basically saying I'm celebrating it's death. Or, at the very least, "just look at how amazing it makes my costume look". If those are generally the only reasons for doing this, Mr. Weir has a long way to go. I also have a star-filled past that I will keep to myself. However, one thing I learned in all my years in the entertainment business was this . . . NO MATTER HOW MUCH TALENT YOU MAY HAVE OR ACHIEVE, ONCE PEOPLE "DISAPPROVE" OF YOU, IT IS LIKE A SPREADING CANCER UNTIL YOU ARE NO MORE , PROFESSIONALLY OR LITERALLY. First goes your image, then contacts, with work and money soon to follow. IF as Mr. Weir says, that "it's not a NO.1 priority in my life right now", IT CAN QUICKLY BECOME JUST THAT. In my house, there is no killing of ANY kind, meaning . . . we do not kill flies, bugs or anything. We simply catch them and set them outside, as they have just gotten lost in their life's journey do survive. IT DOESN'T GIVE ANYONE THE RIGHT TO KILL THEM FOR THEY ARE JUST LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO EAT, WARMTH OR COMFORT. My point is that, JUST LOVE LIFE, YOUR LOVED ONES AND YOUR NEIGHBOR. It only takes one in the group to get "everyone" fighting (usually the one that is uneducated or mistaught as a child). It is these insensitive individuals who are usually easily influenced by the one who I usually refer to (and I'm sorry for this profanity, for I usually do not use any at all in my writings, but, in this case I think it's ok) as "a poor excuse for an asswipe" . . . the one who spells his name with the same letters that Santa does. ANYHOW (and this may sound kind of harsh, but . . . ), I just don't think Mr. Weir nor his "camp" would feel the same if the tables were reversed and some other "living creature" was wearing a piece of his Mother, Father, siblings or other relatives on their shoulder and just for, as we say in the entertainment business . . . "presentation". Mr. Weir could very simply just leave this tiny "clip" of fur off of his shoulder just as easy as he can have it put on (or at the very least just simply tell his seamstress ..."no"). I guess the future will tell the story of Mr. Weir's character. I wish Mr. Weir all the best in his skating efforts, after all, he is still a proud mother and father's "little one" . . . but then, SO WAS THAT POOR LITTLE FOX. I just hope he does things on and off the ice in his life to the best of his ability and with class. THAT'S WHAT MAKES A TRUE CHAMPION ! So, Go For It! Skate! But, By All Means Johnny . . . Please Be Good !!!

Ooh, thank you so much for writing a Hub about Johnny! We all love him... what a skating star... The Olympics were too bad for him because he did skate well in the free but didn't get as high of a score as I thought he could.
